My travel photos and stories

After a very busy time at the office, Åke and I decided we needed a break from the wintery weather in Sweden, and booked a spontaneous last minute trip to Morocco. We hadn't really had to time to plan much, besides booking the first and last night in Marrakesh. But with a rental car, we decided to drive east, in the direction of the desert. Being early February, it is far from high season, giving us all opportunities to just go and see where would end up.

Below you can see a short slideshow with some first impressions of my visit to Morocco. In the meny below you can find the links to the pages of Morocco that I've written so far.

Ait Ben Haddou

It was breathtaking and very surrealistic to see this intricate full-sized sandcastle-like structure: the Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco

Sahara

I remember this day on top of that sand dune so vividly, taking photos of the amazing light, feeling so relaxed, and seeing the golden glow of the sunset brushing over the landscape. Sahara, Morocco
